AI4IA 2022 Conference

The UNESCO Information For All Programme (IFAP) Working Group on Information Accessibility (WGIA) hosted its third Annual Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility (AI4IA) Conference, on 28 September 2022 at 13:00 (GMT), online. The AI4IA Conference aims at triggering critical discussions on information accessibility and the intersection with Artificial Intelligence among multi-stakeholder participants from academia, civil society, private sector and government. It also brings together global experts to celebrate the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI), recognized annually on September 28. The event raises a range of issues, including the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Law, AI and Ethics, media and our right to know, creativity and innovation. AI can be very beneficial to society but if abused it can also be very harmful. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how AI can be made inclusive, thereby enabling the widest cross-section of society.
