In 1653, the town, under the Marquisate of Vincent du Parc, Field Marshal of Louis XIII, was important for its markets and legal administration. The battlefield, where the local militias used to train, is now a pleasant garden with, since 1954, the remains of the Saint-Ener chapel. The fountain has been rebuilt, the niche is decorated with a representation of the saint. Each year two pardons are celebrated in the chapel, one on the first Sunday in May, the second on the third Sunday in August.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFontaine Ener has healing properties for children. When the sick child could not come, their mother or aunt would bring the baby's shirt and dip it in the water of the fountain.
