To commemorate this historical moment key members of the SILR team and the University of Alberta Library and Museums team were invited to attend the Scared Bundle Ceremony on September 26th, 2025 from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm at the University of Alberta's Research \u0026amp; Collections Resource Facility (RCRF)-South Campus.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe Sacred Bundles consisted of a tripod and a birch bark satchel that contained the Data Sovereignty Declarations and Care Taking Directives.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eDuring this ceremony Dr. Florence Glanfield the Vice-Provost of Indigenous Programming and Research and Dr. Dale Askey the Vice-Provost \u0026amp; Chief Librarian were gifted their Sacred Bundle; officially sealing their roles and responsibilities as care takers of the Data Sovereignty Declarations and Care Taking Directives for the digital copies of the visitings and educational resources that were part of SILR's searching process.
