Its triangular gable with brackets overlooks a round arch opening with braces and hooks. The basin sinks beneath an arch, dominated by a rounded niche with a flowering bracket. At the back of the building, a second niche bears witness to the double dedication of the chapel, but the statuettes have disappeared.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAccess to the enclosure is through a small side staircase; in front of the fountain is a small square basin, allowing water to be drawn without soiling the source. This fountain has a reputation for curing certain skin diseases, such as scabies or leprosy, formerly known as \"Saint Méen's disease.\" It was also a place to take rickety children.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePloemel comes from the Breton \"Ploe\" (parish) and \"Emel\", the leader of Breton emigrants who settled around the 7th century.
