It was under this Roman domination that Saint-Clair, apostle of the Veneti and also bishop of Nantes, arrived in Réguiny to preach the Christian faith. In October 296, he died at a place called Kerbellec and was buried in a chapel adjoining the old church of Réguiny. In 386, when the people of Nantes wanted to recover the remains of their former bishop, the people of Vannes opposed this. However, despite this refusal, the people of Nantes managed to recover the relics and left the parishioners of Réguiny only the skull of the saint. Next to the parish church dedicated to Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul is the Saint-Clair chapel built in the 16th century. In the middle of the nave, a large tombstone covers the empty tomb of Saint-Clair and bears the epitaph: \"St. Claire buried here on October 10, 96\".
