During his journey to the abbey, Bieuzy is said to have spent a night in Bieuzy-Lanvaux (former truce of Pluvigner) with the axe still stuck in his skull. Since this event, the fountain of Bieuzy-Lanvaux has been under the protection of the saint who heals rabies and migraines. The source of the fountain of is said to cure rabies in dogs or people who have been bitten. It is also purported to cure toothache, provided those with the toothache walk three times around the aedicule with their mouths full of water and/or they could dip a piece of bread in water and walk around the fountain three times.
