There are several people in the room. In addition to Ann and the interviewer, there are also Virginia Tautchin and Ron Skabaska. It is not clear who is speaking. I am indexing the interview without differentiating the source of information as it is hard to distinguish. Ann herself does not remember much, somebody is speaking instead of her. \nAnn's parents were pioneers in the area. They are related to Steve Bornek family. Ann Bornek was a sister to Alek Scabadaska. Ann is unsure whether Alek Scabadaska was married to Katherine when he came to Canada. But all their eight children were born in Canada, two boys and six girls. The girls left home at a different age when they got married. Their son John stayed on the farm, he was involved in activities at the church and a hall. He set up all kinds of Ukrainian programs when nuns or priests were around. He was very good at all of that. He also set up physical activities as volleyball games in the hall. The games would happen every week. He died in his 60s(?). Mike was left with the farm. They were very successful farmers. They had three quarters of land, cattle, chickens... 25-26 dairy cows milked by parents. Children helped when they started growing up. They speak about milking cows by hand twice a day. The milk machine came in in the 1950s. \nAnn did housework and garden work. In the house, she would cook a lot, wash the dishes, clean up, do laundry, bake bread. Ann had one daughter who helped her, boys were helping outside. They would use warm water to do dishes, which would go afterwards to the pigs.","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Synopsis"]}}],"target":"https://ualberta.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1776/collection_resources/58780/file/133213#t=0.0,671.0"},{"id":"https://ualberta.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1776/collection_resources/58780/file/133213/index/79819/annotation/3","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Moving to Edmonton, marriage","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://ualberta.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1776/collection_resources/58780/file/133213#t=671.0,1271.0"},{"id":"https://ualberta.aviaryplatform.com/collections/1776/collection_resources/58780/file/133213/index/79819/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Katherine and Alek Scabadaska, when they got older, they helped, Katherine helped in the house.
