An aedicule with a pointed gable rises on one side of the enclosure. The fountain was built in 1645 by Jean Kervegan. Dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, the water from this fountain is reputed to relieve rheumatism and eye diseases. The fountain appears on the land register of 1835, and it is located to the east of the road from Plounévez to Lannion. In 1871, it was given a new statue by the sculptor Yves Hernot Père (1820-1890). In Le Chemin des Fontaines Bretonnes, there is a description of the statue on top of the fountain by Hernot saying that it is of a child carrying a sheep, suggesting that this fountain had the power of healing sheep. The building was restored in 2003.
