Thanksgiving was not a very big holiday, Halloween was celebrated. Notably, children loved celebrating Halloween, but some grown-ups also did. For the New Year, they used to prepare a dance, cooked dinner and had a beautiful celebration with musicians. The party was international; there were not only Ukrainians but also Indigenous peoples, Germans and others. Sometimes, they also celebrated Malanka.
